If you think well then you will live well. It is a common saying that it is you that determines your destiny.What God does is to empower your mind to give you an edge,what education does is to empower your mind to give you an edge,What books do is to empower your mind to take you to the top.People don't think because they don't read.Africa is where it is today because only few really read.Reading is not just for gaining information but it also exercises the mind by causing it to think.And ideas are born through meditation. Your mind is not empowered when you feed it with junks,rather it degenerates. Reading is a very powerful thing. It has the power to improve your memory, your learning, and your focus. If you can read for pleasure, then you can do whatever you want. You don’t have to be a scholar to be a scholar; you don’t have to spend all day sitting in a classroom; and you don’t have to read as much as people do! If you read out loud to yourself, or listen to audio books, or get it on your iPod, then there’s no reason why that should be an inconvenience.

Reading is one of the true wonders of life – and it is for this reason that we make it our sole purpose in life. We wouldn’t do anything else if we didn’t believe that reading would give us an edge over the competition or help us solve problems. And without this reading we would not exist at all (this is true in so many ways that I plan on breaking it down into several posts).

Just think about how different life would be if we had more people in our lives who were like Elizabeth Garrett Anderson — people who would rather explain their ideas than defend them; people who like talking about themselves instead of talking about others; people who aren't afraid to speak up for themselves instead of defending others; people who are humble when it comes to their own work instead of just thinking ahead or looking at their audience; people who applaud instead of booing; people who believe in themselves enough to be honest when they're nervous or unsure or scared; people who can see past the surface and find nothing wrong with what they're doing until someone makes them ask "is everything okay?" A lot less things would go wrong because there would be fewer things for us to worry about!
