Truly a Happy Day!!!

By Emeka Oparah

As I set out for my morning workout today, something kept tugging at my heart in a loving, indescribable way. It would seem like I was going to meet a particularly beautiful, gifted woman who’s in the quest for shape and fitness, like me. But no, it wasn’t that. It was obviously something deeper, bigger and indeed spiritual-more rewarding!

Now, just before I went to bed last night, I had seen posts on social media saying that @PSquare @PeterOkoye and @PaulOkoye and their older brother, @JudeOkoye had finally made up. The joy of that particular news sent me to a sweet, sound happy sleep.

So, as I approached the boulevard, where both live, I instinctively realised why I was unusually in a gay mood. I suddenly started wishing I could run into one or both of them, literally. Believe you me, I prayed under my belaboured breath that one of them at least should show up.

And boom!!! Paul’s gates swung open and he bounced out! Wow! I changed lanes immediately and ran toward him and beckoned on him. Humbly, he stopped and I went:

“Paul, is it true? Is it for real?”

“Yes, Bros, it’s for real!”

“OMG! Paul, Ive got tears in my eyes right now. I’ve always prayed for this day, when I will see you guys after burying the hatched. Wow!”

“Thank you, Bros. It’s God. It’s good to trust God and allow Him to do things at His time.”

I must have hugged Paul 25 times. Then, we quickly took a selfie before cars started stopping, hailing him and thanking God. It took a while, but it happened. God’s time is the best time-and that time was yesterday.

Paul asked me whether I was still jogging. I knew why he asked. Probably Peter was going to join him. Sadly, I couldn’t wait-and I didnt want to force it by phoning Peter to come out. Tomorrow is another day. #WeMove!!!

I am so very happy for the Okoyes-Peter and Paul and their big brother, Jude. God bless them immediately. May the Peace and Love of God and the Happiness and Fulfilment that go with that be and remain with them always. Ozoemezina. Never Again!!!

Today, I use the Okoyes as a point of contact to ask almighty God to bring peace to my own family and every family going through diffculties, anger, betrayal, hatred, envy and enmity. And so shall it be in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I am BLESSED. Be BLESSED!!!
