Atiku Abubakar Shuts Down Enugu, Assured of 1.5m Votes

The mother of all rallies took place in Enugu State, as the Coal City State Shut down operations, to welcome their own, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi. After the primary elections, there arose propaganda from various channels that the governors of Enugu and Ebonyi were not working for the PDP. This has since been countered heavily with astounding and astonishing crowds pouring into the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to welcome the PDP Presidential candidate, alongside public endorsements from the two governors who planned to give the PDP 100% of the votes.

Speculations have it that more than 100,000 people were in attendance, as up to another 50,000 were outside due to lack of space. This shows that the State is ready to support the PDP the same way it did in 2015, when they gave PDP 98.5% of the votes cast. In their speeches, the governor of Enugu State; Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, stated emphatically, just like the governor of Ebonyi State that Enugu state is 100% for PDP.

The Governor stated that no one should mistake his friendship with the Presidency as being an endorsement. He however gave the PDP presidential candidate an overt and public endorsement, tasking the PDP to give him nothing less than 1.5 million votes. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Spoke, declaring his love for the people of the State and stated as a matter of priority that he would build the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway immediately he enters into office.

This was corroborated by the VP candidate, Peter Obi, who was hailed to the extent that it was almost impossible to hear him speak. The Campaign DG, Bukola Saraki, told the people that this was a paradigm shift from the recession and hunger the nation faces. The PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, who has been hailed for carrying out the fairest and freest primary election in Nigeria, stated that rigging will never be condoned, while tasking people present to vote for the PDP and protect their votes.
