The most fascinating political campaign so far in the annals of Nigeria was in 1959. Master Strategist and Trail Blazer Awolowo of Action Group (AG) had hired a helicopter from Israel which in the air puffed out smoke which spelt AG in the sky!!! Nothing like that has ever occurred again.
My dad was contesting the Federal House of Representatives election on the platform of AG that year and how proud I was when my dad came out of the helicopter in our town with Awo who flew in there to campaign for him.
When I heard that Atiku and his 400 henchmen men had gone to Dubai to stategize for the campaign which was about to commence, I said: "At last after 59 years, Awo's record will now be shattered".
Then campaign took off. Lack lustre. Dull, Drab, Useless, Unexciting, Uninformative, Cololess. Even spectators not excited. You could only hear them whispering to each other: "Where is the money naw? Shay I hear say if you come here, you must get N50,000 to take home"
**Went to Sokoto, at most 25,000 people can came out. They were not even listening to message but eyeing rice and N500.
**Result: North West failed.
**Excuse: That is Buharis zone.

**Move to Kwara. 12,000 spectators. Most came to sell "Rechage card" and "Pure Water"
**Result: North Central Failed.
**Excuse: The Field they rented was too big making the spectators look sparse.

**Moved to Ibadan in Oyo State. They pick Mapo Hall near Oja Oba where on ordinary days there is market crowd. 8500 Spectstors. Less than the normal market day crowd. It was as if market women stayed away for them on that day.
**Result: South West Failed
**Excuse: It looks as if Tinubu has bought all spectators to stay away from the rally.

At this point they got confused. They had planned to go to North East - the last of the Northern Zones. This is Atikus home zone. What if, again they fail there? What will be the excuse? So they decided to suspend campaign.
Should they go to SE where they are sure of a huge success. But they want that as the grand finale! Should they waste it at this stage? Even then, their hope is sagging. The SE governors have never attended rallies in places they have campaigned thus far. It will be disgraceful if they refuse to attend the one in their zones too. Yet this a zone where every spectators looks forward to going back home with N50k for closing shop for the day.
Money is drying up. Wike is not contributing. The SE governors are not contributing. Obiano had adopted Buhari. Peter Obi has refused to contribute. Governor of Gombe had adopted Buhari as his Presidential candidate.
Atiku has spent N45b in PH to buy nomination and N50b strategizing in Dubai. Ekweremadu is still hurting.
Confusion everywhere o for Atiku. Now he wants trouble to start and refused to voluntarily honor invitation to sign peaceful accord. Wahala dey o.
