Barely three weeks after 21 Chibok girls were released by Boko Haram, another Chibok girl has been rescued.

She was rescued by Nigerian troops in Pulka, Gwoza area.
This was disclosed by the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman.

A source close to officials deployed to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Pulka said: "She has been confirmed to be one of the missing girls. Her name is Maryam. She was seen with a baby. Both are currently receiving attention and will be escorted to Maiduguri soon."
Over 200 Chibok girls were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents since April 2014. Some managed to escape while the rest have been held captive by the insurgents for over two years.

Nigerians were filled with joy when 21 0of the Chibok girls were released on Thursday, October 13.

The Chibok community demanded that President Muhammadu Buhari send the 21 rescued girls abroad to continue their education.

Meanwhile, report has it that the federal government is negotiating the release of another 83 of the Chibok schoolgirls taken in a mass abduction.
