A Minna High Court has granted Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State on Wednesday  an interim court injunction restraining the State's lawmakers from impeaching him.

A copy of the injuction made available to journalists on Thursday , May 7 restrained the lawmakers from impeaching the governor pending the determination and hearing of the motion on notice. The court has fixed May 27 , 2015 for hearing on the motion on notice.
