I was reading replies to various topics of this great forum, i came across where member suggested that Africa start an Era of their own not one instituted by colonial masters.
Do you agree with this?

Yes, I agree with it, because it seems that many Africa's governments and countries leaders don't understand the these foreign systems, that is why there are one challenge to the other in many Africa's countries.
In short I see these systems as tools for some few individuals to use and utilize what belong to everybody, some even see it as family properties.

In our real Africa's system such things(misappropriation of society belongings)  will never  happen, as they fear deity or oracle.

Not all Africans countries need new era. Those with backwardness and war history need a rethink, as this is an indication all isn't well.

Like some one rightly wrote, not all Africa countries need new era, but I advocate for evolution not revolution-never.

There are several issues that could be remodelled in order for them to meet the needs of Africans and their environment. Someone once mentioned to me that for example, the political structure, the education system and the social system should be changed. They are too westernized, therefore they do not benefit the needs of Africans. So it appears Africa will have to rethink its institutions and their effectiveness.

It may be, but I have problems identifying any African countries with effective and efficient institutions that benefit ordinary African citizens. Also, could you please explain what you mean by 'evolution', may be you could give an example?

Dqueen, Egypt is one of such countries in Africa as they run institution instuted by them even before Christ came, they needn't new. I'm refering to most of  these countries colonized by Britain and France:Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Congo etc. I belief these countries can do better.

Egypt,  morocco and so on.
Revolution tends to lead to war, eg Libya, Nigeria etc, which brought about lost of people's life.  Evolution means gradual process as life is more important than change it self.

We also understand that Africa starting a new era doesn't mean Africa should activate cultures and traditions that are not effective but focus on the norms and generally accepted standard that will reposition Africa as the greatest continent of the world as of old.
