It is the height of duplicitousness for Southeast PDP members/supporters to blame Wike for the failure of the Southeast to get the PDP presidential ticket while praising the political yah00 yah00 men we have as PDP leaders in the zone who sold out Peter Obi for their own selfish consideration. Those peddling this argument invoke the falsehood that Atiku Abubakar even offered to withdraw if the PDP zoned the presidency to the Southeast while Wike insisted on contesting.

When the PDP special zoning committee which had a sitting Igbo governor as member, threw the presidential ticket open as against specifically micro-zoning it to the Southeast, as a matter of equity, justice and fairness and in keeping with the party's tradition, the PDP proved it has zero regard for the Southeasterners who have literally bled and d!ed for the party in demonstration of unalloyed  - and I dare say blind - loyalty ever since it was formed. And by throwing their hats in the ring, both Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike - CON and Atiku Abubakar showed they are men whose political actions are guided by anything but a sense of fairness. In this regard, both men share the same guilt. To blame Wike and exonerate Atiku is to major in self deception. To blame Wike and exonerate Southeast PDP leaders who owed Ndigbo more, is outright idi0cy bordering on the fringes of iberiberism.

Truth is, the MAIN PEOPLE who denied the Southeast a shot at the PDP presidential ticket are Southeast PDP leaders of Abia, Enugu, Imo and Anambra. And their main reason was the CRAB MENTALITY politics they play in that region and a high dose of matters not unconnected with their intestinal needs which they mask as smart politics. The Southeast so called leaders actually turned their back on Obi and his bright ideas and chose Wike's oil money and Atiku's Dubai dollars. Even when the former Anambra governor was visiting them for consultation and solicitation of support, how did they welcome him? In most of the states, Obi was welcomed by "boys" while the real leaders of the Party in charge of the delegates that would vote at the convention, went about their businesses citing one silly excuse or another. In Imo, Ihedioha camp didn't hide the fact that their delegate votes were for Tambuwal who later stepped down for Atiku. Sam Daddy's camp was open with their Atiku affiliation. Abia and Enugu PDP leaders preferred Wike over Obi. In Anambra, Obi's home state, Chris Ubah (that one that used a sitting police AIG, Ralph Ige of blessed memory, to kidnap the then governor Chris Ngige) even went a step further to plan a massive humiliation for Obi by changing the delegate list to ensure the former governor won't get a single vote from his own states. Most of the Southeast PDP delegates received specific instructions from their governors or PDP leaders as the case may be, on who they would be voting for long before the day of the convention. And Obi was not even in the consideration. The delegates are real humans who can easily be reached for independent verification of this info. Some of them are here on social media, even. You don't need to take Charles Ogbu's word for it.

All the Southeast PDP leaders (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONLY EBONYI THAT STOOD BY ONE OF THEIR OWN, Ayim Pius Ayim) chose to side with outsiders against the collective interest of their region despite knowing that the Igbos getting the PDP ticket would be premised on EQUITY, JUSTICE, FAIRNESS and above all, COMPETENCE.

Between Wike, a man from another region who has repeatedly denied being Igbo, and Atiku, a Northerner whose raison d'etre is occupying Asorock, on one hand, and the so called Southeast leaders on the other hand, who owed Ndigbo more responsibility of fighting to protect their interests?

I know Obi is now in a far better place but the attempt by some of you Southeast PDP online guys to divert the blame of what happened from the dealers masquerading as our leaders to Wike is a grave insult on our collective intelligence. Person wey dey cry still dey see road nah.

We saw this same treachery play out in 2019 when Atiku picked Obi amidst joy from Ndigbo only for the so called leaders to call an emergency press conference to swear never to support the ticket because they were not consulted before Obi was chosen. It is an open secret that before that 2019 poll, all the Southeast governors reached a deal with Abba Kyari, Muhammadu Buhari 's late Chief of staff to help Buhari secure the constitutional requirements of 25% of the votes in their states. Kyari went to meet the governors in person because due to Buhari's open disdain for Ndigbo, it was very unfashionable to find onye Igbo supporting the APC then. So there was genuine fear from Asorock. These governors all accepted Kyari's deal and treated Atiku/Obi like a pariah. All attempts by Obasanjo to get them to reject Buhari failed.

To be clear, this current roforofo fight between Atiku camp and Wikes group has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the interest of Nigerians. It's just for their own selfish political ends, nothing more. But I hold the view that the people who always point to outsiders as the enemies of Ndigbo even when MOST of our problems are known to have been caused by the bunch of ndi abanidiegwu masquerading as our leaders are not doing the Igbo nation any good. N'ezie, "?fe ólú melu Igbo d? ofu mana ife Igbo melu ?nwe fa di asaa".
