former Emir Sanusi Congratulates His Successor, Says He Will Not Go To Court For Any Reason.

The recently dethroned Emir of Kano Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II, has finally congratulated his successor, Aminu Ado Bayero, on his enthronement to the throne.

The traditional ruler of Loko Village in Nassarawa State , Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed Sabo, made this known on Wednesday".

Sanusi spent his first night in banishment at the palace of the traditional ruler in Nassarawa state. According to Alhaji Abubakar, Sanusi said he would not challenge his dethronement in court, because he has accepted his dethronment as the will of God,

Abubakar, spoke on the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and said “ Sanusi has called on the people of Kano emirate to support the new Emir, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero to take the emir council to the next level. He revealed that " he (Sanusi) sent a congratulatory message via text message to the new emir and the new emir replied to him.”

And when Asked about the well being of the dethroned emir, he responded by saying " He (Sanusi) was not disturbed at all. He slept very well in my palace. He has accepted his destiny. Emir Sanusi does not have any regret. He said he did not commit any offense.” Rather, he cautioned traditional rulers to be very careful with their relationship with politicians".

According to him, “we received him very well, but with mix feelings. We were sad as a result of what happened to him. Although we do not have air conditioned house befitting of a man of his caliber, but we were also happy that our village came to limelight; that, of all the cities in Nigeria, it was Loko that was chosen for him to come to,” he concluded.
