? Henceforth don't give police bribe on the road,

? if they ask you for bribe don't give,

? Henceforth, any officer you see on the road without proper police uniform is a criminal.

? As you all know and vivid in all the news papers, IGP has banned all tactical units of the police from conducting stop and search on the road or in the street...

This above include the illegal extortion of bike men, motorists and unionist at parks/ garages in Lagos

? Anyone found doing that will be arrested and dismissed, IGP said...

? The only set of people that will be on stop and search must be on full uniform with their names boldly written on their chest.

? No police should ask for your phone or laptop password, u are not required to submit your phone to any oficer on stop and search,

? Except there's a special complaint against you and your phone was reported to have been used to commit such offence, then the investigating officer at the police station may demand that you open your phone for clarification.

? Aside this, no officer is authorised to check your phone or laptop or any other electronic devices you may have at any checking point.

? No officer can harass you on the type of hair you carry, its your personal business.

? No officer can harass or question why you tattoo your body, it's your personal wahala.

? You are about to experience internationally accepted standard of policing.

? It is now an offence to try to offer bribe to the police on the highway.

? If anyone ask you for money, record him and post, he will be arrested and dismissed.

? Meanwhile, make sure you do not drive on Nigeria roads without a complete vehicle particulars.

? Let your driver's licence be up to date, ensure you renew your papers before it expires.

? If you are caught driving with expired particulars or incomplete papers, you will be arrested and charged to court for violating the law.

? Any attempt to bribe the police will be used against you in the court of law.

Take notice of that.

We must all change and do the right things.

? Majority of you guys are used to driving without up to date papers and you are also used to giving police 50-100naira on the road to escape justice.

Be informed that any attempt to do that henceforth will not be tolerated.

? If any officer is caught taking bribe on the highway or anywhere, both the giver and the taker will be arrested and prosecuted.

? We are yet to see the IG effecting the directive on the withdrawal of policemen from VIP's. This is one of the things that erode the trust of the from government from the citizens.

? Why is the issue of 'Bail is free' as enshrined is our constitution not reemphasized?

? Why is the installation of surveillance cameras in all the nooks & crannies of the country as we have in other saner and working nations not revisited to help curb all these excesses/corruption if there is any seriousness on the part of government?

? Why is the police hierarchy not constituting a monitoring team that will be dominated by human right activists, youth organizations and unionists?

? To rise up and give solidarity to any citizen about to be brutalized, victimized, extorted or harassed in our society.

? To make public any police station where money is requested for bail.

? To smartly record any interaction with security operatives to avoid denial or lies.

? To avoid giving bribes to police and other security operatives.

? To give all necessary supports to the police so as to discharge their duties effectively.

? To raise alarm where and whenever any of these excesses have been committed.

Remember we are the number one security of ourselves, homes, surroundings and immediate communities!

Good evening Nigerians!!!!
