NNEWI, SETTING THE PACE

This is Nnewi vigilante group.

The people of the town knew that Nigeria has gone to the dogs. They know that the Nigerian security agencies CAN NO LONGER be trusted to secure anyone. They equally know that the governors and other political leaders have so far not demonstrated the POLITICAL WILL to tackle the rising spate of insecurity in Ala-Igbo.

So what did the Nnewi people do?

They didn't spend time lamenting and agonizing. Rather, their sons and daughters came together to beef up their internal security as well as equip their local vigilante with the latest security equipment as you are seeing in the photos below.

LESSON:

Igbo governors are not serious about securing Ala-Igbo. They are still playing to the gallery by orally announcing the ban on open grazing even without the commensurate legal backing which will specifically prohibit the barbaric practice and spell out specific punishment for offenders as we have in Benue state. The ban on open grazing is the very first step they must take if they are serious. It should come even before the launch of Ebubeagu, that way, even ordinary citizens are empowered by the existing law to arrest any herdsman and cow grazing in the open seeing as citizens are empowered by law to make arrest and hand over to the appropriate authorities.

But I digress!

The people of Nnewi have demonstrated that indeed, we are the leaders we've been waiting for

Tell me, just seeing those IVM produced security vehicles and those akpu-obi boys holding guns, do you not feel an electronic sense of security already?

Instead of AGONIZING and complaining to people who don't care, let every Igbo community ORGANIZE like the Nnewi people just did. In the Igbo land of old, this was how almost every issue is tackled - community effort. Nobody got time to wait for any govt. Even Mbakwe Airport, Owerri was initiated through community effort.

Every politics is local. So is security. We all come from a community first before state. If every community in Ala-Igbo organize and fully equip their local vigilante with latest security vehicle, community gadgets and guns, how will Ala-Igbo not be secure???? We can even codedly buy them AK-47 away from camera. That way, you have a security outfit THAT IS ACCOUNTABLE TO THE COMMUNITY and which you can reach in case of any security issue.
