The Nigeria Prison Service (NPS) has debunked media report about an attempted jailbreak  by some convicted soldiers on Friday in Yola Prison, Adamawa State.

The spokesperson of the service, Mr Ope Fatinukun, in a statement reiterated that there was no commotion whatsoever at the Yola prisons. The statemenet reads: "There was no pandemonium, commotion nor gun shots fired into air in Yola prison as reported by some media houses.
