In response to President Muhammadu Buhari's vain claims that he was overthrown and detained in 1985 for his efforts against corruption, Afolake Esosa Ojumu Oyofo wrote

"For the last time:

Sir, be truthful. You were not detained in 1985 because of corruption.

You were overthrown and detained because of what you are still doing, even TODAY!

Corruption didn't send you to sleep for 6 months. Laziness did.

Corruption didn't send the economy into a nose dive. Inexperience did.

Corruption didn't send you to meddle negatively with the foreign exchange market. Ignorance did.

Corruption didn't stop you from recovering Chibok girls. Carelessness did.

Corruption didn't send away the team of bankers who called on you. Foolishness did.

Corruption didn't prevent you from intervening in herdsmen's violence. Clannishness did.

Corruption didn't stop you from listening to our voices. Arrogance did.

Corruption didn't set you against the Senate and other team players. Autocracy did.

Corruption didn't teach you to disparage even your Prophet by boasting of your self control at having only one wife or integrity. Egoism did.

Corruption didn't teach you to declare war against 5% of Nigerians. Uncouthness did.
Corruption didn't select an uninspiring, dull team. Mediocrity did.

Corruption didn't lead to the estrangement of Nigerians from you. Negativity did.

The evidence is contained in Dogonyaro's 1985 speech and sadly, here's the truth:

If you were overthrown again today (God forbid), 80% of Nigerians would rejoice again, to be rid of you but mourn the death of democracy.

And it would have nothing to do with corruption!"

?
I 100% agree with me above piece.
