The inspector general of police Ibrahim Idris on Tuesday, December 13, met with some Igbo traditional leaders in Abuja.

The leaders under the aegis of Association of Ndi Eze Ndi Igbo N'uzoije (Igbo tradition kings in Diaspora) met with the police boss in his office at the Force Headquarters.
The association led by Boniface Ibekwe, the Eze Ndigbo in Kano state, congratulated the IGP on his appointment.

Ibekwe assured the police boss of continuous co-operation and partnership with the commissioners of police in their respective state where they serve as traditional rulers.

He commended Idris for his excellent police community relations strategies and initiative with the force.

In his response, the IGP said the police will continue to provide necessary support, co-operation and sustain the partnership between the force and the Ndi Eze Ndi Igbo N'uzoije.
