I’m not a fan of Wike. The people’s choice is Peter Obi. With the way PDP is structured at the moment, it will be hard, if not impossible, for the PDP delegates to give our beloved Peter Obi the presidential ticket.

But for Wike, I noticed that the petulant and acerbic governor learnt from his failure to give his friend and governor of Sokoto state, Tanbuwal, in 2019, and he is taking it personal this time around.

Some of the state PDP delegates that were not in his control in 2019 are currently under his control and will likely vote for him.

One of the states is Cross River PDP delegates. He is the one who funds Cross River PDP so the delegates are firmly in his hands.

Even though Imo state PDP delegates are under the control of former governor of Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha, who will likely deliver his delegates to his political ally Atiku just like he did in 2019, Wike is still trying to make an inroad into Imo state by using his man Friday and PDP national secretary, Senator Anyanwu, to scatter Ihedioha’s plan, the same thing he is doing in Anambra PDP by using Chris Ubah and Senator Stella Oduah to scatter Anambra PDP. At the moment, Peter Obi is not even sure of the Anambra PDP delegate votes.

Kano PDP delegates are with Wike too as there is this rumour that Wike has an agreement with Kwakwanso to fund his presidential ambition with Kwakwanso handing over the PDP structures and delegates In Kano to him.

Another example where Wike's influence is strong is Abuja, Abia state, Enugu and Gombe PDP delegates.

In fact, the two leaders of the Abuja and Gombe PDP that control the PDP delegates in their states, serving Senator Philip Adudua and the former governor of Gombe, are in Wike's camp and can be found wherever the inept governor of Rivers state is.

I’m afraid Sha, and my fear is stemmed from the fact that it will be a self-implosion and an own goal for PDP if Wike finally wins this ticket as Wike is clueless and has nothing to offer Nigerians.

Nigeria is far bigger than Wike’s pay grade but again, in politics, 24 hours is such a long time and also in politics, nothing is guaranteed.
