THE PROBLEM WITH BATS......

Nobody begged you to be a Buharist. Nobody invited you to any initiation ceremony to forcefully conscript you into that cult and certainly, no one is marking an attendance register for you as a bonafide cult member of Buharism.

In order not to tie the toga of Buharist around your neck like an albatross, it was clear from the onset that Buharism is not just about one man and the creation of a mischievous impression that the man is infallible and capable of doing no wrong.

Buharism is a set of ideals which one man has stood for. They are desirable principles like moral and religious uprightness, honesty, integrity, belief in the rule of law, justice, empathy for the poor and less- privileged, even national development, hard work, dedication, loyalty, diligence and patriotism among others.

The above cardinal ideals undoubtedly is a sine qua non for any nation to grow. In being a Buharist therefore, one must consciously strive to pursue the entrenchment of these ideals in words and in deeds.

It is okay not to be a Buharist but an APC die-hard supporter. It is okay not to believe in the above ideals but still consider yourself a citizen of this country especially if the opposite of the enumerated qualities work for you in the Nigerian state, like it is presently doing for many. It is okay to have worked for Buhari presidency because you believed he could deliver but that doesn't make you a BUHARIST. It is okay to feel that Buhari will no longer be in office in 2023 and you must begin early to align with new contenders that will likely feather your political nest, but don't drag Buharists or Buharism into your scheming.

As Buharists, we can't be blackmailed with labels like Mumu, Sheepish or Brainless Zombie followers because we are simply requesting that you stay in your lane if you don't believe in what PMB stands for or does. You can't claim to be a Buharist and pretend not to know he is a detribalised Nigerian. You can't be wearing Buharism around your Neck like a gold-necklace and not see that many decisions, even if not all are merit-driven, devoid of malice and bias. You can't claim to be in the fold of those who see this uncommon Nigerian as a rallying symbol for the birth of a new Nigeria and still help to push divisive, diabolic, ethnic and religious sentiments and expect not to incur the wrath of those who do.
One who falls for everything can't stand for anything.

IT'S OK NOT TO BE A BUHARIST.
THERE'S NOTHING LIKE FAKE BUHARISTS.
SUCH PEOPLE WERE NEVER BUHARISTS.
SPARE US YOUR TOXIC RATIONALISATIONS.
WE SIMPLY DON'T CARE.
