Each country and nation of the world there is what they are easily identified with; NAME is one of such identity.

A lot of Africans prefer answering foreign names such as John Peter, Samuel judge, smith clement among others instead of their Africa’s name.
Even in the Church you can’t baptize using your Africa’s name, what is going on?

Well, some aren't intentional like foreigners that married to Africans during colonial era, while some are intentional for reasons best known to the bearers.
For church not baptizing Africa's local names I personally don't have a fitting words to cloth my thought why its so.

Many change their names for various reasons eg Meaning, Nationality etc

Maybe we are ashamed of our identities, of being Africans and bearers of African names. or maybe western names enable us to integrate easily into the societies where we find ourselves. or maybe our African names are simply 'primitive'?

civilisation! Well Africans devalued their ethical conduct in an attempt to blend with the western world. On the hand, civilisation have made some to feel inferior instead of advocating ur entity, who ever changes his name in the name of meaning or tribe only shows inferiority.

I think I agree with you, going by this I will categorically say, any one who changes his/her name in order to blend with whatever society is fake human being.

Interesting, thanks. However what do you mean by inferior, and inferior to who; what's even 'ethical conduct'?

Well, I didn't expect it to be taken literally, what I actually meant here is fake name.
For example someone whose name is buchi Okofor , the person suddenly due to one perception or the other change it to Anthony Clement, such is fake. Anybody who fakes his/her name is faking his/her identity, as such isn't totally out of turn to tag such individual fake humanbeing.

There have been stories in one quarter or the other about some ladies from Africa (I don't want to mention the countries) in United state that always claim are Jamaica whenever they’re being asked. Such people changing their names to reflect what they are craving for isn't a big deal to them.

I don't know about banning but there is company in Nigeria "Daar communication" (owner of Africa Independent Television) that all their member of staffs bear only their Africa's names. I'm yet to hear any english name in any of their journalists.
