Why is Africa so poor, and will it ever become a well developed continent?

Of all the continents in the world Africa is the poorest and has a majority control of blacks. In fact I can't think of a single country within it that has leaderships outside of blacks other then South Africa and bordering northern African countries. And South Africa is not a country that can be labeled as dirt poor or even bad and even then it has heavy influences from whites and other cultures beyond the native mainland or "motherland" blacks. Really yahoo is going to censor the word n e g r o s, which is the Spanish word for blacks...... You know not all black people are Afro American. Am I suppose to call a black person from Holland an Afro Dutch??

The bottom line is that even with all it's resources, which there are many, that continent has simply not been able to pull itself together as a whole.

Perfect

African continent is poor due to poor management and disbelief in Africa by Africans.
Will it ever become a well developed continent, I have my doubt if Africans don't believe in Africa if it would ever be possible.

Don't you think Africans need to believe in Africa and match that with action?
