YORUBA AND NDIGBO BIRTH-RIGHTS DICHOTOMY: CAN OODUA PEOPLE STOP SELLING THEIR DIGNITY?

By Prince Oba-Loye Adimula

If you dislike TRUTH, do not read....!

Let's start by reasoning here together with you reader on a very serious issue. Imagine a family came together in Yoruba land  to sell a property belonging to their late breadwinner- where the Deceased was buried. Before the outright sale, these group of money lovers, exhumed the remains of the dead to rebury in an unknown place and the buyer of the said property took over the property and perfected the documents accordingly. While the family that SOLD the deceased Property, shared the proceeds among themselves with happiness!

Undoubtedly, where is the birthright that we are talking about on the property genuinely sold to someone? You sold a land to strangers, the strangers got C of O for 99years and on election day you are saying the new landlord must not exercise their civic right of voting candidate of their choices!

What type of arrogant oppressive landowners are you? If you know you still want to exercise your traditional right over a land or property, why did you sell the land outrightly? Why not on leasehold agreement?

Imagine my own experience sometimes in the year 1994, I tried to acquire a land within Ekwere community in PortHacourt, Rivers State. I was told directly that the land was not for sale to strangers but for Ekwere people. And that they can only lease the land to me or if I can marry an Ekwere woman, then I'm qualified to buy outrightly.

Now, could it be that they are knowledgeable than my Oodua people then or the love for money is the one destroying us. Or did the Ndigbo put guns on anybody's head before buying up Alaba, Ajegunle, Aguda, Surulere, Okokomaiko, isolo, Oshodi, Lawason, even the celebrated Ijesha-Tedo(that may soon turn to AYANMIRI CAMP) in Lagos?

Also, Did Ndigbo use juju before the Ibadan surrendered Mokola, Agbowo and Iwo Road to them! And what were we looking at before the Igbos took over Isida and Adeti in Ilesa, Osun State?

But in Igbo land, they can never sell their heritage the way we exhibited our foolishness to everyone. The worst thing to do by Ndigbo is to lease the land to you,  which still guarranttee certain degree of birth right of ownership to the family /community before the expiration of the leasehold agreement.

And for our Oodua people in Lagos, it's wickedness and arrogant displayed of power to wanting to exercise your birthrights as Landllords in your rude determination to impose your candidate over Nigerian brothers living on your land. By threatening them not to exercise their constitutional civic responsibilities remain serious breaches to the fraudulent Constitution, that Yoruba people ignorantly left unchallenged. That's oppressive, anyway from my Oodua people in Lagos!

For our diaspora Yoruba politicians making noises over the issue; Why are you still holding either Green Card or foreign passports when you value your Yoruba land? Do American, British or European people do force you to vote for there own preferred candidate during their election over there?

Or would Donald Trump jail or deport back the bulk of Yoruba people residing in New York and other States in USA to Nigeria because he want to impose himself in power? Please let behave as enlighten race and be objective in this matter!

Unfortunately,  our common enemy is FULANI not Ndigbo, Hausa, Ibibio, Gbaygi, Biroms, Bachama, Angus etc People. The Ndigbo wanted their independence badly and majority of Oodua people are inching for freedom too, the few that are not interested in the Oodua freedom are those feeding fat on this fraudulent arrangement of Nigeria through their Slave Master.

However, We need to come together and fight the common enemy and after the success..... everyone can now be to his own tent!

Painfully, where the YORUBA people supposed throw caution away, they choose to keep mute.
What is the justification of selling thousand of hecters of land to DANGOTE GROUP and DANTATA INVESTMENTS around Lekki Oceanic zone? Are the sellers or those allocated the vast land not mad or stupid?

Those in government that sold thousands of acres to fulani man are now controlling their political URCHINS to attack our southern brothers and you are ignorantly joining to be flexing muzzle on Ndigbo. Are Ndigbo our problem now in Oodua land?
Please let us make use of our senses in playing politics. This is what happened when the same so called progressive connived with late General Abacha to unseat Sonekan as Head of Government,  without proper agreement and we all knew what came to be on all of us then.

Regrettably, the treatment melted to these same Politicians after the assumption of office of President Buhari in May 2015 before they were called back to help in fighting their fellow FULANI-Brothers for an obvious hegemonic family struggle;  is still fresh within us and let's hope they are not going to face the worst riddicle in the next 6months to come.

I wish all the Oodua politicians well..... anyway, Prince Oba-Loye Adimula is just thinking aloud niiiiiii!
