WHY UNANSWERED PRAYERS, understanding the 3 ways God answer prayers.
When God began to speak to me on this subject He opened my eyes to certain deep mysteries that we may not have known. No doubt God is set to make this year your year of Glory but not until the issue of prayer is completely understood and properly applied.
Our text is taken from the book of Daniel chapter 10 from verse 1 to 21. Daniel prayed and fasted for 21 days and there seemed not to be any answer and at the end of everything an angel came to him and told him that the first day he prayed God sent his answers but the prince of Persia stood on his way until another angel was sent from heaven called Michael who went and helped the angel with the answer to break through.
From the above you will understand that God has no store room for prayers, once your prayer gets to God the answer is guaranteed immediately.1st John 5 vs.14 says that this is the confidence that we have in God that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. Daniel’s prayer was answered from day one but there was resistance on the way. So the angel with the answer remained in one place for 21 days. You will also understand from Daniel’s experience that there are territorial princes otherwise known as spiritual borders evil-watch-men that blocks the way of good coming to the children of God. 1st Corinthians 16 vs. 9 says a great door and effectual is opened unto us but there are many adversaries. So the prince of Persia that withstood Daniel’s prayers was an adversary of the devil.
But thank God Daniel continued in prayers, if he had given up like most of us do then his answers would have been returned to heaven. But as he continued God had to send angel Michael an Archangel to go and fight the prince of Persia so that Daniel’s answers could be delivered. Luke 18 talked about a widow that continued disturbing and unjust judge for intervention and the unjust judge decided to help her because she was persistent. We need to apply the principle of importunity in prayers till our answers come.
Another clear example of importunity in prayer was the case of Jacob in Genesis chapter 32 vs. 24. He wrestled with an angel till the breaking of the day. He refused to stop praying until his answer came. At the end his name was changed from Jacob to Israel; God is changing your name for the best in Jesus Precious name. In order to know when your prayers are answered it is necessary to examine the three ways God answer prayers;
THE 3 WAYS GOD ANSWER PRAYERS
1. God’s answer may sometime be NO, NOT YET: That is what you are praying for will only come when you are ready and matured enough to handle it. Like for instance someone may be praying for a car and he hardly goes to church when there was no car, what is the guarantee that if God blesses him with a car he will keep going to church. So the car may be delayed until he is matured in his love for the things of God.
2. God’s answer could also be NO, NEVER: That is what you may be praying for is not in the will of God. 1st John 5 vs. 14. For example a lady may be praying for God to touch a brother so that the brother will propose to her but actually that brother is not born again and his future is not pleasing to God. So God’s answer to that kind of prayer is NO. He will rather show you another brother instead.
3. God’s answer can also be YES: When your prayer is in the will of God and backed up with scriptures and mixed in faith and praise. God has no choice but to say yes.
Keep praying and try to listen to God in your heart after every prayer to know whether it is the will of God or not. Be prayerful this year, Jesus when He was on earth was a prayer giant, Paul, Daniel and David and many more were all prayer giants what are you waiting for. Receive the spirit of grace and supplication to tarry in prayers till your change comes in Jesus Precious name. Be blessed
