Lessons life have thought me are many below are some of them:
Always take up a responsibility when it present themselves, even if you don't have all idea and know how to carry things out. If you fail someone else might do it and simply be ahead of you.

Speak less and take more actions, and don't always try to dominate people specially if you're in the same category, in short let people be the one pushing you forward not yourself, otherwise they will see you as threat and work against you and make sure you fail.

My lessons:
-Avoid people who complain most times and never bring them into your life hoping you will help them. Next you will be the next to be complained about

-Avoid people who see negative most times in every situation, this people seem to be in mission to kill dreams and future before they arrive.

-Never bring any person in your life(family, business, association etc) who don't have thesame value, focus and direction as you, otherwise both of you will be in trouble.

-Run away from people or person who points accusing finger at witch, demon, Satan, devil, bad luck as reason for their lack of success in life. Often these people are the devil, Satan and demons effecting their lives.

-Don't make friends with people who can't cautiously add value to their fellow life or society. These people are most times miserable in life.
These are lessons I can remember for now in flash.
When feel comfortable and have the motivate, I have in mind of writing article on "Why do bad things happen to good people" this will explain above lessons in details.

This is an interesting thread (question), and a difficult one at the same time. I guess we learn something everyday. However, what I learnt is that if you work really hard for an exam, you will pass it.
