Personally I prefer practical things not luck because one can't be certain hoping for luck.
How it works, I think one has to be religious to some extent to embrace it.

Whether is call luck or not, what people belief-in is what works for them. Different people in Africa have different believing systems. Is just matter of how ones mind operating at a given time.

There are so many people like you outside there that believe in luck, the problem is how does it work, how can one attributes a given circumstance to luck? May be whenever when we don't understand who certain thing happened we call it luck.

Luck is the easiest terminology used to console ourselves during unfavorable circumstances. Luck works only if we have right strategy to be applied in right manner.

I don't believe in luck. I'd rather use physics to explain luck. Although if the idea of luck makes people think more positively, I'm not going to take my chances and jinx this by saying why it doesn't work.

Just kidding but i don't believe in luck but i believe in unluck. When you just can't get something what everyone can.
