I mean seriously, how does Africa make you feel?
one day soon, I will tell you why I get up every morning or afternoon, and why I am here.

It depends on the situation and environment I'm at in given point in time. Sometimes I feel challenged, sometimes I feel great it all bothers on given situation and place.

I naturally feel proud being Africa, but when I see what some of Africa's leaders are doing with their plans and nation's money without question; I feel challenged and awkward next to others in other continent which too much belief in their own system without regard to any foreign aid or input.

I guess it's only fair to disclose my feelings as well.

I love her, she is beautiful
She is annoying, I hate her
She is natural, I am proud of her
She is confused, I am sick and tired of her
She is poor yet she is rich, I hate her
She is sick, I pray for her
She  is healthy, only if she knew
I am angry with her
She is my life, she is me, she is my mother
Her name is Africa
She is Africa and I love her
She is the love of my life, and all I have ever known to love
Africa

I have quoted this on the africa-research blog, under "How Africa makes people feel" :-)

I think that you need more history lessons. South Africa got their independence from the UK before apartheid came into effect. Which many believe was started by the UK. It was NOT the settlers, they were in the 1600's and apartheid was in the 1900's. If it wasn't for the whites, the blacks would still be running around killing deer with sticks. Thanks to the whites SA has roads, hospitals, schools and an infrastructure.
