The future of our dear Africa. I keep ruminating on Why my continent is so backward with "Mortgaging destinies in securing a future syndrome "http://scrollcue.blogspot.com.ng/

My biggest worry is family. How can I balance between job n family. How can I deal problems between family members  ::) ::)
Heal the world, make it a better place hotmail log in  for you and for me and the entire human race. There are people dying. If you care enough for the living, make it a better place for you and for me

I am at an age when my peers are dying. Earlier when Uncle Joe died in his 70s or 80s, one might say that he lived a good life and then let "Uncle Joe" disappear from memory. When peers die, it brings focus to one's own mortality. In the last twelve months I have lost 7 good friends, all just about my age. I lost two golf partners, a close friend from when we were in the cub scouts together, a business partner, two neighbors, and a friend of over twenty years who I shared a cottage with him after my divorce. In addition, I lost several folks, not as close friendship-wise, but friends nonetheless. Plus I lost my "close friend and associate", as I always introduced him, my dog buddy of 13 years, Teddy.

I picked up the phone one day to see if my friend Frank could fill in a foursome. When his wife answered the phone, I hung up immediately because I realized that he had died. She has call ID so she knew it was me calling, but she never called me back. I sense that she realized my error.

One golf buddy wrote his initials in wet cement at a course we play. Every time we play that hole, we clear any leaves or debris so his initials can be seen and we pour water on the cement to make it fresh. He would appreciate that, I think.

With that as a background, the answer to your question is simple to understand. I fear nothing and I really do not worry, but I sense that my world is shrinking and I might be the last man standing. I do not worry about it, but I do sense some foreboding which is not the same thing.
