Burkina Faso have lodged
an appeal to have Jonathan
Pitroipa's red card
rescinded ahead of the
Africa Cup of Nations final
against Nigeria on Sunday. In the semi-final against Ghana, a match marred by poor
refereeing decisions , Pitroipa was shown a second
yellow card for diving minutes
from the end of extra time,
although he was clearly brought
down in the area for a penalty. "The Burkina faso Football
Federation wrote an offical
letter of appeal to CAF," The

Gualbert Kabore tells Sport24. "We lodged it in the two hours
after the match as stipulated by
