The midfielder was taken from
his car in the Effurun area of
Warri with his abductors
demanding a €150,000 ransom.
Delta State governor Emmanuel
Uduaghan immediately directed
the police to find and rescue the
player within 48 hours.
"He has been rescued and the
police are bringing him back to
Warri," Delta FA spokesman Timi
Ebikagboro told
KickOffNigeria.com. "He was
found at Isoko."
It is unclear in which state the
player was recovered or whether
he has any physical injuries as a
result of the ordeal.
