... - Half time in Camp Nou. ... - Real Madrid lead Barcelona 1-0 in the second leg of Copa del
Rey semi-final between the Clasico
sides thanks to a penalty from
Cristiano Ronaldo. Gerard Pique
the perpetrator as he brought
down the Portuguese with a lunging challenge. 45? - Alba goes down under the challenge of Arbeloa on the
right-hand side and the Barca
crowd are up in arms again.
Ramos comes off and gives a
telling off to his international
team-mate, accusing him of diving. 44? - Madrid swarming the Barca box at the moment!
Ronaldo has two bites of the
cherry with two strikes from the
edge of the box ,but both are
blocked. The ball breaks to Di
Maria who looks to slip an incisive pass through the middle for the
Portuguese, but the hosts remain
solid to retain possession. 42? - Very important clearance from Ramos!! A
Barcelona corner kick is whipped
in and Puyol looks poised to bullet
a header into the net, but the
Madrid man stretched his neck to
clear the ball out of the box! 41? - Yellow Card - Carles Puyol (FC Barcelona) 40? - So close!! Ozil clips the ball to the far post and Ramos
bursts a gut to get on the end of
it, but he just can't stretch out
his leg to make a meaningful
connection! Pinto would have been
in trouble had the Madrid captain managed to get a piece of the
ball! 39? - Carles Puyol receives a booking for a foul on Ronaldo
around 30 yards from goal. Looks
like Mesut Ozil will take this one. 38? - Yellow Card - Arbeloa (Real Madrid CF) 38? - MESSIIII!!! Ohhhh that was excruciatingly close!! The
Argentine whips the free kick low
towards the bottom corner, but
it misses the post by inches! Half
the ground thought it was in! 36? - Free kick to Barca again in a very decent position. First
Real Madrid booking of the match
goes to Arbeloa as he snaps at
the heels of Iniesta 20 yards from
goal. This is definitely in Messi
range. 35? - That's two penalties that referee, Alberto Undiano,
has denied Barca. He has already
came under scrutiny from Jordi
Roura before the match, so this
won't exactly help his popularity
among the Catalans! 33? - Another penalty shout for Barca!! Pedro shows
impressive trickery to dance is
way into the Madrid box, but is
unceremoniously shoved over by
Xabi Alonso! Ohhh that could have
been a spot kick! Inconclusive! 31? - Good defending again from Alba. Coentrao looks to pick
out Di Maria with an ambitious
cross over to the right, but the
left-back cuts out the long ball
with a cushioned header back into
the arms of Pinto. 30? - Fabregas slices his shot at the vital moment! Alves
reverses a pass to the edge of
the box for the former Arsenal
man, but his strike his fluffed into
the air and Madrid manage to
clear! Cesc had a sight of goal there! 29? - There hasn't been a lot in terms of goal chances, but it
has been a tremendously open
game so far. Both sides looking
dangerous. Barca in possession,
Madrid on the counterattack. 27? - Higuain manages to get a decent shot on goal, but
unluckily for him, the play is
brought back for an offside.
There wasn't much in it, but the
Argentine was ahead of play. 26? - Iniesta!!! Messi shows excellent strength on the edge of
the box to evade the challenges
of Varane and Khedira to slip a
ball to his team-mate on the
right. Iniesta steps inside and
swings a shot to the far corner, but it goes just the wrong side of
the post. 25? - Fantastic challenge from Dani Alves. Ronaldo looks to latch
on to a superb pass over the top
from Xabi Alonso but the Brazilian
clears the ball out the park with
a perfectly-timed sliding tackle. 24? - And so the battle between Ronaldo and Messi
continues. The Portuguese has
beaten The Barca man to become
the 1st player to score in 6
successive Clasicos away from
home. 22? - Good defending from Ramos. Dani Alves receives a
wonderful cross-field pass from
Xavi and slips a ball inside to
Messi, who looks to thread a ball
through the centre for Iniesta.
The Madrid captain comes in with an important interception to win
possession. 20? - Ronaldo tests his shooting boots again. This time he
finds space in a central area and
lashes a left-footed strike
towards goal, but, again, it does
not bother Pinto in the Barca
goal. 19? - A small break in play at the moment as Di Maria is
currently down. He was looking to
run beyond the play but instead
clattered into the back of Gerard
Pique. It looks like he's slightly
winded, but he'll be okay. 18? - Well, perhaps he shouldn't have. The former
Manchester United man smashes
the free kick way above the
crossbar. A bit of a waste, really. 17? - A lot of petty challenges being penalised at the
moment. Madrid have a free kick
around 35 yards from goal.
Ronaldo looks as if he fancies this,
you know... 16? - Good cover from Di Maria. Messi slips a neat pass into
the box for Iniesta, but the
Madrid winger tracked the run
and saw the ball through to the
oncoming Diego Lopez. 15? - Penalty shout for Barcelona!!! The Camp Nou crowd
erupts as Fabregas goes down
under the challenge of Arbeloa
inside the box! However, it
appeared as if the Madrid
defender got the ball. The referee correctly waves play on. 14? - Pique was adamant that was not a penalty, but it
certainly looked as if he caught
the ankle of Ronaldo. The Barca
man received a booking for the
challenge, too. 13? - Yellow Card - Piqué (FC Barcelona) 13? - Penalty Goal - Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF)
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL
MADRID!!! Cristiano Ronaldo steps
up and coolly slots into the
bottom left corner! 1-0 to Los
Blancos! 12? - Penalty to Real Madrid!!! Ronaldo takes on Gerard Pique
inside the box and is tripped up
by the dangling leg of the
Barcelona defender! Definite
spotkick! 11? - Free kick to Barca is a very useful position. Messi is
bundled over right of the edge of
the box by a clumsy Di Maria
challenge. The hosts take the
set-piece quickly. 10? - End to end stuff at the moment! Neither side has really
settled on the ball as of yet, and
as a result, possession is being
surrendered frequently. 9? - Positive goalkeeping from Pinto. Ronaldo picks up the ball on
the left and cuts a pass inside
with the outside of his boot to
Higuain, but the Barca 'keeper is
off his line quickly to come and
clutch possession. 8? - A chorus of boos echoes out in the stadium as Real Madrid
enjoy a small period of possession.
The ball eventually comes out to
Di Maria, who is dispossessed by
Alba. 7? - Solid save from Diego Lopez. Fabregas cuts in from the
left-hand side and screws a shot
towards the near post, but
Madrid's January recruit from
Sevilla makes a solid stop and
claims the ball. 6? - As expected, it has been a vibrant opening in the Clasico.
We are seeing quite a bit of
intense pressing of the ball in the
early stages, as is customary in
these matches now. 5? - First glimpse of Ronaldo. Ozil slips a pass through to the
Portuguese, who drives a shot at
goal, but the play is brought back
for an offside. Decent save from
Pinto anyway! 4? - Xavi floats in the set- piece and Carles Puyol rises high
looking to power a header at
goal, but Raphael Varane does
enough to put off the Barcelona
captain. The ball goes out for a
throw-in. 3? - Pedro wins a free kick on the right wing after earning a
foul out of Fabio Coentrao. 2? - Messi!!! Barca inches away from going ahead early doors!!
Pedro shuffles his feet on the
right-hand side and lashes a pass
inside. The Argentine takes a
wonderful first touch before
squeezing a shot to the back post, but it goes just wide! 1? - Remember folks, the first leg was 1-1, so Barcelona already
have the advantage of having
scored an away goal. 1? - The Clasico is under way! ... - The atmosphere inside Camp Nou is electric! The players
have took to the field now for
the pre-match formalities. ... - Most of the eyes tonight will be on Cristiano Ronaldo and
Lionel Messi. Which of the two
superstars will come out on top in
the Clasico? ... - However, Los Blancos have only won three of their last 10
away matches across all
competitions. Not such a positive
stat! ... - The Catalan giants have won just one of their last six
encounters against Real Madrid. A
source of encouragement for
Jose Mourinho's men there. ... - Both Clasico sides had to come back from behind to win in
their respective Primera Division
matches at the weekend, and are
not entering the match tonight in
particularly scintillating form. A
truly interesting clash is in store for us. ... - Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Lopez; Arbeloa, Ramos, Varane,
Coentrao; Alonso, Khedira; Di
Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo; Higuain ... - Barcelona (4-3-3): Pinto; Alves, Puyol, Pique, Alba; Xavi,
Busquets, Fabregas; Pedro, Messi,
Iniesta

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates after netting from the penalty spot at the Camp
Who do you think will win the
Clasico? And will Cristiano Ronaldo
continue to out-perform Lionel Messi?
... - Barcelona have now gone four official matches without a
goal in the first half. A slightly
worrying stat for Tito Vilanova
and Jordi Roura's men.
... - Ronaldo, without a doubt, has outshone Messi so far,
though.
... - It really has been an electric game from start to finish.
You can't really take you eyes off
it, and considering we have the
world's two best players on show,
it's no wonder.
... - Perhaps an indicator of the dogged nature of Madrid's
defending comes with the tackling
stats. The visitors have won 88%
of tackles attempted and Barca
have won just 63%.
... - Barca, naturally, have dominated possession in the first
period, with 68% to 32%, but it's
Madrid who have looked the more
dangerous in front of goal and in
the final third.
... - Half time in Camp Nou.

48? - Madrid the more comfortable on the ball in the
opening stages of the second half
here. Alonso and Ozil, in particular,
have took it upon themselves to
calm down the possession of the
visitors.
47? - Messi picks up the ball in the centre circle and looks to
take on on five Madrid players
through the middle all by himself.
He eventually bursts into the box
but a timely challenge from
Varane steals the ball for Madrid.

49? - Coentrao!! He should have done better! Alonso slides a
wonderful defence-splitting pass
down the left for the Portuguese,
who takes one touch and strikes,
but Pinto makes a solid save with
his chest at the front post!

51? - Good save from Diego Lopez!! Busquets smashes a shot towards the top corner from the
edge of the box bu the Madrid
'keeper stretches out a right
hand to turn the ball round the
post!!
50? - Xavi and Busquets have been particularly quiet this
evening. Usually the duo are
dictating the play from deeper
areas but we haven't seen a lot
of them so far.

52? - Poor touch from Fabregas. Iniesta weaves inside
and outside before chipping a
pass into the box for the former
Arsenal man, who fails to take
the ball out of the air, allowing
Arbeloa to clear.

Perfect

But I don't think that penalty should have been awarded, as the guy didn't really kick Ronaldo.

the ref. is the man incharge. His decision is final. Yea you may be right any way

59? - Substitution Cesc Fàbregas David Villa (FC Barcelona) 57? - Goal - Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF)
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL FOR REAL
MADRID!!! CLASSIC COUNTERATTACK!
A hump up the field from Khedira
is picked up by Di Maria who
drives at tremendous pace towards goal. His initial shot is
saved by Pinto, but Ronaldo is on
hand to control and and smash
home! 2-0 Madrid!

That penalty decision actually gives Real madrid that psychological edge over barca that they are using to progress now....

68? - Goal - Raphaël Varane (Real Madrid CF)
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL
MADRID!!! 3-0! In almost a carbon
copy of the first leg, Raphael
Varane rises high and nods home
from a corner kick! Poor defending from Pinto, he came
out for the ball then retreated
back! Unbelievable result here!
67? - Corner kick to Madrid. They haven't really made the
most of their set-pieces so far.
66? - Vital tackle from Pique!! Madrid break out of defence
again and Ozil bursts down the
right-hand side. He looks to pick
out he unmarked Ronaldo in the
centre but the former
Manchester United defender puts the ball out for a throw-in with
an important stop.
65? - Much like the match against Milan in the Champions
League, Barcelona are being faced
with a sea of opposition players
whenever they come inside. It just
has not worked for them so far.
Do they have a plan B?
64? - Madrid still looking very, very dangerous on the
counterattack here. As Barcelona
press higher up trying to find a
goal they will only create more
space in behind for the likes of Di
Maria and Ronaldo to run into.

74? - Substitution Xavi Thiago Alcántara (FC Barcelona)
73? - Barca guilty of overplaying again. Iniesta steps
inside and looks to exchange a
one-two with Thiago on the edge
of the box but the return pass is
chipped into the box, allowing
Diego Lopez to catch.
72? - And another quick change from the Catalan side.
Thiago Alcantara enters the
action in place of Xavi. Barca's
midfield maestro has been
disappointing tonight and has
looked out of sorts.
71? - Substitution Pedro Tello (FC Barcelona)
71? - Substitution Gonzalo Higuaín Callejón (Real Madrid CF)
71? - Barcelona follow suit and make a change of their own.
Pedro comes off for Cristian Tello.
70? - First change of the match from Joe Mourinho. Gonzalo
Higuain is replaced by Jose
Callejon, which will probably mean
Ronaldo goes up top.
69? - I don't think a lot of people would have predicted such
a dominant result in favour of
Madrid before the match. Barca
could grab one or even two goals
here, but it looks like Madrid are
heading to the final!

76? - Madrid look happy to sit back and soak up the pressure
now. They have retreated back
10 yards or so and Barcelona are
camped outside their half looking
for an opening.

78? - Substitution Mesut Özil Pepe (Real Madrid CF)
78? - The Madrid fans who made the trip to Catalunya look
to be having a great time now.
They are are beginning to cheer
every pass that their team
makes on the pitch. This must be
really hard to take for Barca and their fans!
77? - Great save from Diego Lopez!! The ball breaks to Villa on the left-hand side of the box,
who curls a lovely shot towards
the far corner, but the Madrid
goalkeeper expertly palms the
ball away to safety.
