Nigeria have booked a place in next year's Fifa World Cup in Brazil after beating Ethiopia 2-0 (4-1 on aggregate) at the U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar on Saturday evening.

Needing only a draw to reach next summer's Mundial, the Super Eagles took an early lead against the visitors when Victor Moses converted a penalty kick with just 20 minutes into the game.

Late in the 2nd half Victor Obinna Nsofor doubled the score for Nigeria in the 81st minute (less than a minute after he came on as a substitute).

Although the Super Eagles were not at their imperious best, they held on to finish the second leg with 2-0 win over Ethiopia. The first leg result was 2-1 in favour Nigeria in Ethiopia last month.

Nigeria are the 22nd country to qualify for the 2014 World Cup.
