The Super Eagles have qualified
for the African Cup of Nations
after comprehensively beating
Liberia 6-1 in Calabar.
Efe Ambrose headed in a cross
from Victor Moses to open the
scoring for Nigeria as early as
the first minute of the game.
Liberia looked brilliant after the
goal but never really
threatened, inspite of their
neatly threaded passes.
Despite their inability to firmly
control the game, the Super
Eagles still managed to create a
few chances which the Liberians
managed to fend off.

The second goal, however, came
in the 38th minute when Ahmed
Musa smashed in Emmanuel
Emenike's pass to increase
Nigeria's lead to 2-0, and the
scores stayed the same at half-
time.
Upon resumption of the second
half, Nigeria continued to pile
pressure on Liberia and it paid
off almost immediately as Victor
Moses scored Nigeria's third goal
of the game in the 47th minute.
Mikel Obi also got on the
scoresheet as he converted a
52nd minute penalty, after Nosa
Igiebor was brought down in the
18-yard box of the visitors.
The Liberians suffered a further
setback when their captain,
Gebron, was sent off after
adjudged by the referee to have
dived to win a penalty, although
the replays showed that there
was a slight contact between
Enyeama and the Liberian
skipper.
Ike Uche came off for Emmanuel
Emenike and, after initial misses,
he got his name into the
scoresheet in the 72nd minute.
Sekou Oliseh scored a
consolatory goal for Liberia in
the 81st minute after he
capitalised on a loss of
concentration by Nigeria's
defence to get the better of
Enyeama.
However, Victor Moses put the
nail on Liberia's coffin by getting
the final goal of the game in the
87th minute.
With this emphatic victory, the
Super Eagles will be hoping they
can regain the long lost
confidence of Nigerian football
fans.

Is really a wonderful game, Mikel presence in that game plays enormous role to the Super eagle.
