Sequel to the unfortunate
incidents that further
marred Osaze Odemwingie's
relationship with West
Bromich Albion, the Nigerian
striker may now be sent out on loan to a lower
division club.

It has been reported that
Crystal Palace (the club that
groomed Victor Moses), who play
in the Championship, are
interested in taking Odemwingie
on loan for the rest of the season after he was offered to
them by West Brom. However, Crystal Palace manager
Ian Holloway has played down
suggestions of a move, although
he admitted he would like the
have the 31-year-old in his
team. "Someone contacted the
chairman. I was asked if I would
want him [Odemwingie]. I said
yes,'' Holloway said. "I don't think
he's a realistic target for us
personally.'' Holloway is unsure if Odemwingie
will agree to step down a division
or even accept a pay-cut on his
current £39 000-a-week salary,
which would have risen to £70
000-a-week if his club had not pulled the plug on his transfer to
QPR. Odemwingie, who has been
training alone since he returned
to West Brom after serving a
brief suspension, may thus
decide to stay at West Brom
until the summer transfer window. The former Bendel Insurance
player was accused of trying to
force his way out of the
Hawthorns to Loftus Road
without the permission, but
revelations have shown that the player acted on a mistaken
assumption after he thought he
had been given the nod to
undergo a medical at QPR.
