According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Denver Broncos are scheduled to interview Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak on Sunday for its vacant head coach position. Schefter intially reported former Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone was also to be interviewed by the Broncos this weekend, but later added Marrone had canceled his interview. Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin also cancelled his interview with the Broncos. Kubiak, 57, spent his entire nine-year career as a player with the Broncos, backing up quarterback and now general manager John Elway. From 1995 to 2002, Kubiak was an offensive coordinator with the club. Kubiak would replace John Fox as head coach, who mutually split with the Broncos earlier in the week. The Broncos ranked second in the NFL in points scored per game.
