What kind of exercise should a teenager do?

It depends upon the fitness on teenager. On my experience with gym, I can advise you to not go hard in gym, if you are teenager. Your bones and muscles need some time and practice to become good at lifting heavy weight.

For me allowing him or her to play around, mostly with other teenager(s)will be enough exercise.
