I learned a lot last year about creating an online presence. There is so much to know and most people who start their own businesses do not really know how to create, optimize and leverage their online presence.

I will give only a summary of what I learned in the last year of reading, the mastermind and training. I have only scratched the surface, but if I can in no way reduce your learning curve by sharing the things I've learned since then that is what I do.

Niche Marketing

This is the first thing you learn when you create an online presence. It is narrow its focus. You can not be all things to all people and when you try, you end up diluting the message, in essence, not being anything to anyone. This was probably the hardest lesson I learned. I fought the idea of ??joint marketing niche, because I thought my place was the theory of choice and choice theory applies to every situation of life possible. Although I still believe that this is true, I have to focus my marketing efforts on a niche much more specific and well defined. While I'm still refining this, I decided to market two basic niches. The first is small to midsize companies interested in building, diversity and utilization of inspiration in the work force and the second is managers interested in leadership training to increase power production, improve quality and reduce employee turnover.

What is your niche? You know you have a good if you can find a way to find them. You need to know what they read, what entertainment you gravitate toward, and what groups they belong. It is your ultimate goal, to get a mailing list or email list to market to their place. If you can get a list, then you have a very small niche.

Creating a list

This is perhaps the most important asset an online business, the mailing list of potential customers and prospects. When doing business online, it is extremely important to capture prospects opt-in e-mail address so you can begin to market them. The best way to get people to give their email address is to offer something attractive. This is closely related to your niche. Find something you are looking to create a product gift in exchange for your email address. You can see how important it is to have clearly identified their niche market, because if we offer a list of cat ownership information on how to train your dog, you can see how that might not appeal to provide your e-mail mail. Must be the hunger for information.

The opt-in part it is also important. You can not go to add email addresses of people to your mailing list. What is considered spam. Should have the opportunity to "opt-in, as well as the opportunity to remove your address from their database. Do not ruin your business before it was initiated unnecessarily tarnish his reputation.

Sales Letters

Sales letters are very important. If there's one thing I would like to outsource, it would be sales letters. It's not fun for me, but can be fun for you. There are several things to consider in a sales letter. First, research shows that the longer a sales letter is the best. You must have a captivating title. Must contain information about WIIFM-What's in it for me, that is, your readers or potential customers. This is still tied to the first point about niche marketing. Your sales letter will be more effective when you can write as if you know the mind of the reader. You must understand their pain or talk to a goal they have. How can you be specific enough if they have not reduced their niche? You can not.

The letter should be prepared both to reader and reader in mind touching detail. This means making the sub main points so the person who rubs you can get the general idea of ??what we are talking only skimming the titles. However, with sufficient detail to convince the person who is interested in a lot of facts and statistics. You do not want to write your letter with a single group in mind, because then you will lose out the possibility of selling the group to be ignored.

Create products and services that your niche is hungry and then tell them why you must have the product to solve your problem or help them become more successful.

Sales letters should be an urgent call to action. Create an advantage for those who act NOW. Research shows that even if a person is interested in what you're offering, if not act as they are reading your letter and decided to wait for another day, never return to it. Do you act now so it's worth your time. You can even offer an incentive for the first 20 respondents. It all depends on you.

Articles

Writing articles is a tremendous way to get your name out there for the general public. I write at least two items every month. I had my virtual assistant to submit each of the online article banks individually. Now, for $ 100, I can send my article to the I-trap and make the present for me. Be submitted 100 pieces for $ 100 ml which is much more profitable than having to pay my assistant to do so.

The purpose of writing is to help readers get to know you and what you have to offer. When you write, you're not necessarily trying to sell something, you are basically providing useful information, as this article does. And you get to include a bio box at the end with a link to your website home page, a product page or a sales letter. This will help increase traffic to your website and will be a target audience, ie those who are already interested in what he has to say.

These are just some of the things you want to pay attention to as you develop your presence on the World Wide Web. My next article will focus on writing press releases, generating traffic from search engines and getting listed in various online directories. Then, we will discuss writing a blog, an online newsletter produced by creating a sales funnel and embark on joint ventures.
