Online Internet marketing in Africa such Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya etc is different from what online marketing in advance countries like US, Britain etc are, that means the way they run online business in these countries are different from the way internet marketing in Africa should be. Problem most internet marketers in Africa such as Nigeria face is that they go online read information about internet marketing not meant for Nigerians, even so call gurus from Africa such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya have their internet marketing articles written for them by these guys outside Africa as a result they mislead their followers.

This is one of reasons many New internet marketers will read about how millions are made in Internet yet they find it difficult to make single dollars a month, as a result they get discouraged and either quit or starts employing illegal ways of making money on internet.
Yes, those millions you read are truth but isn’t operated in your kind of environment such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda etc.

What this is telling us is that outside Africa and Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya etc) are two different environment and you as an internet marketer have to treat it as such.
Those guys outside Africa have moved from different stages based on their environment and you as a Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya internet marketer can’t follow suit unless you sale to people in that environment not in Africa.

Now those guys outside Africa are truly in third stage of the internet movement. We can say that first stage (age) of Internet business was getting people connect to the web, laying infrastructure to support the growth, enabling communication, that was when Webportals Aol, MSN and Yahoo dominated the internet world.

Second stage was about gathering information, organizing and giving people access to it, this stage needless to say was dominated by Google and still holding strong in it at point of written this article.

The third stage is most exciting and involve  biggest shift and requires capital than ever in my view, and great potential so far as it involves creating community,  interacting and improving lives  through internet. The bedrock of this stage are social networking sites and online community.

You as internet marketer in Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya etc) should study and observe your environment and create a product or render internet service that solve and inline with stage of internet marketing in Africa. With this we will no longer hear common comments like “Money I earned is trapped in one foreign account”, “Paypal don’t support Nigeria” “Ghanians are not supported”, “They refuse to pay me my money” among other comments made and challenges faced when you try to do what foreign internet marketers are doing.
